According to recent studies, tea after water is the second-most-consuming drink in the world.
The product can be defined as a strategic product of agriculture from Iranian market, with a turnover of 2 to 3 trillion dollars in the Iranian market confirming the high demand for the purchase of this particular and unusual product.
Tea can be considered as a product of all types of society, ranging from rich, poor and middle class, to the vast majority of private, public and family celebrations.
This high demand and attraction is not limited to Iranian market alone, and today tea is one of the most popular beverages in all countries of the world and the same extent of demand is a special occasion. Certainly in the case of double attention to this area, this capacity can be exploited as an important component for the rising and thriving economy of the Iranian market towards development.
This claim can be proved when the Iranian tea is basically the best and most organic tea product in the world. This unique feature in the shadow of the nature, climate and soil of this border in the fields of the northern part of the country has caused Iranian tea as one of the brand products in the field of agriculture for marketing in Iran. According to reports, the history of Iranian market’s first tea garden dates back to 1280 AH in Lahijan, the first tea-making plant in the year 1311 Hijri Shamsi was established and launched due to beginning of tea marketing in Iranian market.
After the revolution, according to the special attention of the policy makers of the Iranian market’s economic sphere, we have witnessed significant successes in the production of this drink, so that in the 70's, two thirds of the Iranian market’s tea was supplied an by domestic production.

Although China is known as the world's first birthplace of tea, and today it has more than 80 million tea and two million tons of cigars, it is the largest tea producer in the world, but high-quality Iranian tea has made this monopoly in part, Iranian market’s tea will be exported out of the country, in fact, Iran will, in its turn, qualitatively enjoy the right tea and its advantages.
As the studies and surveys show, there are now nearly 26,000 hectares of tea garden in Mazandaran and Gilan provinces, of which 21,000 hectares are exploited, and the activity of 55,000 works of tea on this land is an expression of the remarkable job creation of this agricultural product is in Gilan and Mazandaran.
Estimates show that over the course of the year, about 100,000 to 10,000 tons of tea will be consumed, and consequently, in the absence of domestic supply of this product, inevitably imports will be inevitable, as there is no other drink that can be used to replace this product. And even coffee as one of the world's most consumed drinks does not have such capacity and ability to supply and demand in the Iranian market because the taste of Iranian people is more closely related to the taste of tea.
Iranian tea is considered as the most organic tea in the world, and in fact the health factor of this product is as high as the other tea produced in the world.
Fallah said: "The burnout and old age of the tea-making equipment in the tiles in the process of processing has been very influential on the amount and production rate, but in recent years, given the steps taken to achieve progress in this field, the production factor with increase, this transformation cannot be generalized to all the north indigenous tea factories, and the factories that use old equipment to process and produce tea are still developing for a better entrance to Iranian market. "Tea imports are other complications that unfortunately have always been a challenge for this industry, and certainly if you use the technology of the day and increase the area under cultivation, you can reduce the import rate to the minimum.

The former activist in tea production said that achieving such an achievement would prevent the withdrawal of foreign currency from the country and will reduce the Iranian market’s dependence on foreign tea as it is a sample of items that, regardless of consumption, It is impossible because the consumption of this drink is in some way mixed with the food and food culture of this fringe.
He added: "Unfortunately, the culture-building necessary for the use of Iranian tea in the interior has not been done enough and it is hoped that in the following year we will be witnessed even more effort in this Field. Falah said: "Another shortcoming of the industry is the quality of its packaging, and certainly, given more attention to this category, we will see more sales and added value in the process of supplying it."
The former activist in the tea industry said: "Indeed, it should be distinguished between those who plant tea and the groups that produce tea (activists in the field of tea production) because they are not the same and they play different roles for tea marketing in Iran.
