Chapter 6
Live trees and other plants; bulbs, roots
and the like; cut flowers and ornamental
foliage
Notes:
1. Subject to the second part of heading 06.01, this Chapter covers only live trees and goods (including seedling vegetables) of a kind commonly supplied by nursery gardeners or florists for planting or for ornamental use; nevertheless it does not include potatoes, onions, shallots, garlic or other products of Chapter 7.
2. Any reference in heading 06.03 or 06.04 to goods of any kind shall be construed as including a reference to bouquets, floral baskets, wreaths and similar articles made wholly or partly of goods of that kind, account not being taken of accessories of other materials. However, these headings do not include collages or similar decorative plaques of heading 97.01.
Explanatory remarks to Chapter 6
1. Importation is subject to the observance of Article 11 of the Plant Protection Law adopted in 1967.
2. The entry of seeds and plants which, according to the export documents of the country of origin, have been identified as genetically modified shall be subject to the approbation of the Environment Protection Organization in terms of any environmental dangers.
3. The import and export of seeds and saplings on a commercial scale shall be subject to a certificate obtained from the Institute for the Research, Registration and certification of seed and sapling and to compliance with the quarantine regulations.
4. import and export of genetic transformed living creatures and transgenic products bound to save national, security and biological legal provisions with the previous authorization of Ministry of Agriculture- Jahad.
5. The importation of Products of Subheading 06042010, 06042020, 06049000 with The Previous outhorization of Ministry of Agriculture- Jahad.
