Amirabad and Nowshahr Customs Added to Free Zone Registration

Iran's Trade Promotion Organization has added the Nowshahr (customs code 30206) and Amirabad (customs code 30304) customs offices of the Mazandaran Free Trade-Industrial Zone Organization to the free zones statistical registration procedure in the Comprehensive Trade System, following the reclassification of these special economic zones as part of the Mazandaran free zone.

Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization has notified the Center for Innovation and Smart Systems and Security of the addition of the Nowshahr and Amirabad free zone customs offices to the statistical registration procedure for free zones within the Comprehensive Trade System of Iran.

The change follows correspondence from the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Free Trade-Industrial and Special Economic Zones, forwarding a request from the Mazandaran Free Trade-Industrial Zone Organization regarding the addition of customs codes for these free trade zones. Under the notice, the customs office titled “Nowshahr-Mazandaran Industrial and Trade Free Zone” (customs code 30206) and the customs office titled “Amirabad-Mazandaran Industrial and Trade Free Zone” (customs code 30304) have been added as customs offices of entry for goods subject to statistical registration in the Comprehensive Trade System of Iran.

The addition reflects the earlier decision to bring the Amirabad and Nowshahr special economic zones, both located within the Mazandaran Free Zone’s legal boundary, fully under Mazandaran Free Trade-Industrial Zone Organization administration, including reclassifying the ports’ customs offices in the Comprehensive Trade System from special economic zone status to free zone status under the assigned customs codes. The notice requested urgent action to implement the change, and specifically directed that files previously registered for statistical purposes under “Amirabad or Nowshahr Special Economic Zone” be handled so that they can also continue their process under the revised customs designation.
