No. 7543708

Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization has extended the deadline for a temporarily reduced currency repatriation rate applicable to trade card and export processes.

The measure traces back to a circular issued in January 2026, which, in response to emergency conditions and in coordination with the General Inspection Organization, temporarily reduced the currency repatriation rate applied in trade processes to 60 percent through the end of the Iranian month of Farvardin 1405. After that date, the rate was to revert to its previous basis under the earlier circular.

In a follow-up notice, and citing the continuation of emergency conditions under Clause 15 of the third supplementary package on national economic resilience and non-military defense in emergency conditions, the Organization announced that to facilitate trade processes the deadline originally set as “the end of the month of Farvardin 1405” has been amended and extended to June 9, 2026.

Holders of trade cards and businesses engaged in export activity should apply the 60 percent currency repatriation rate through the new deadline, and should monitor for further notices regarding any subsequent extension or reversion to the standard repatriation rate after that date.
