Eleventh List of Agricultural Products Exempt from Export Ban

The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has issued the eleventh supplementary list of agricultural tariff codes exempted from the export ban, while separately confirming that export of textured soy protein remains suspended until further notice.

Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, through its Bureau of Import and Export Regulations, has issued the eleventh supplementary list of agricultural tariff codes exempted from the general export ban covering chapters 1 through 24 of the Export Regulations Book.

Following up on earlier correspondence regarding the export ban on chapters 1 to 24, the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad’s Deputy for Trade Development submitted the list of tariff codes that are not subject to the export prohibition, for inclusion on the list of items exempted from the export ban. The Bureau of Import and Export Regulations forwarded this eleventh list to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration together with the annexed tariff-code table, instructing customs offices to record and communicate the change to executive customs houses.

The exempted items include butter oil, other leguminous vegetables (broad beans), potato flour and powder, dried flowers and fresh petals of Damask rose, other Damask rose products, tallow used in soap manufacturing, other animal fats and oils, non-edible animal fats (cosmetic use), other products (peach puree), other products (hot pepper sauce), and poultry meat powder, identified by their respective tariff codes.

Separately, and based on the resolutions of the second meeting of the Technical Working Group on Livestock and Poultry Nutrition under the Ministry’s Deputy for Livestock Affairs, export of “textured soy protein material” under tariff code 11016012 has been removed from the list of exempted goods and its export remains prohibited until further notice. This exception was communicated alongside the eleventh list and applies specifically to that tariff code.
