Automatic Extension of Expired Order Registrations
Iran's Trade Promotion Organization has instructed that order registrations expiring between December 9, 2025 and December 19, 2025 be automatically extended for three months without a fee, under emergency non-military defense measures, with the corrected extension deadline set at May 29, 2026.

Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization has instructed customs and trade authorities to automatically extend order registrations that expired or were expiring during a specified emergency period, without requiring traders to pay the usual extension fee.
The directive, issued by the Trade Promotion Organization’s Import and Export Regulations Office, cites Item 14 of the National Economic and Non-Military Defense Resilience Package and references a confidential communication from the Supreme National Security Council. Under the measure, order registrations whose validity expired or was expiring between December 9, 2025 and December 19, 2025 (Iranian calendar dates corresponding to 9 and 19 Azar 1404) are to be extended automatically, by a period of three months, without the need for the registrant to request the extension or pay a commission.
The notice corrects an earlier reference and sets the operative extension date at May 29, 2026 (9 Khordad 1405), replacing a previously stated date. The measure was communicated to the heads of provincial Industry, Mine and Trade organizations across Iran, as well as to Iran’s Customs Administration, for implementation.
Businesses whose order registrations expired within the specified window should confirm with the relevant trade authorities that the automatic extension has been applied to their registrations, particularly if further action is required for goods already in transit or awaiting clearance.
