Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has lifted the export ban on a group of food industry products, following a review coordinated between the ministry’s General Directorate of General Industries, its Office of Export and Import Regulations, and the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad’s Deputy for Trade Development.
The exemption was communicated through the Trade Development Organization of Iran’s Office of Export and Import Regulations to the General Directorate of the Export Office at the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, referencing an earlier notice on export bans covering chapters 1 through 24 of the Regulations Book. The specific tariff codes involved were identified by the ministry’s General Directorate of General Industries, in coordination with the Iran Canning Industries Syndicate.
Under the exemption, the following tariff codes are confirmed as exempt from the export ban:
- 16010000 — Sausages and similar products made from chicken meat
- 16021090 — Other processed chicken meat preparations

A small number of related tariff codes covering canned tuna, skipjack tuna, other prepared or preserved fish, canned beans, and fruit purée were flagged for further review, with a decision on their export status to be announced separately.
