Export Ban Lifted on Stabilizer, Tariff Code 21069010

The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has lifted the export prohibition on stabilizer classified under tariff code 21069010, following a request from a domestic food-additive producer.

The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, through the Import and Export Regulations Office of the Trade Development Organization of Iran, has lifted the export prohibition applicable to stabilizer classified under tariff code 21069010.

The decision follows a request from a domestic production company that manufactures stabilizer for the food industry, supported by the company’s commitment to continue supplying the domestic market fully and on an ongoing basis, including during any critical supply conditions. The request was also supported by the Association of Food Industry Additive Producers and reviewed by the Ministry’s Food, Pharmaceutical, and Health Industries Office as part of the standard process for evaluating exceptions to the export prohibition list covering Chapters 1 through 24.

As a result, exports of stabilizer under tariff code 21069010 are no longer subject to the general export prohibition applying to its tariff chapter. The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration has been instructed to notify the relevant customs offices so that shipments of this product can proceed.

Exporters and manufacturers of stabilizer should confirm their goods fall under the specified tariff code and continue to meet the standard export and customs documentation requirements, while maintaining adequate supply commitments to the domestic market as referenced in the underlying request.
