Export Duties Removed for Ferromolybdenum and Molybdenum Oxides

The Cabinet of Ministers has removed ferromolybdenum (tariff code 72027000) and molybdenum oxides and hydroxides (tariff code 28257000) from the list of raw and semi-processed mining and petrochemical products subject to export duties.

The Cabinet of Ministers has removed export duties applicable to ferromolybdenum and to molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, deleting the corresponding entries from the schedule of raw and semi-processed mining, metallic and non-metallic mineral, and petrochemical products subject to export duties.

The decision was approved at the Cabinet meeting of April 22, 2026, on the proposal of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, acting under Clause (P) of Article 44 of the Seventh Five-Year Development Plan Law of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Article 138 of the Constitution. The Cabinet resolved to delete rows 262 and 474 from the table annexed to the earlier resolution establishing the export duty list, which correspond respectively to tariff code 72027000 (ferromolybdenum) and tariff code 28257000 (oxides and hydroxides of molybdenum).

With these two rows removed, exports of ferromolybdenum and of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides are no longer subject to the export duty that had applied under the raw and semi-processed goods duty schedule. The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has communicated the change to the Trade Development Organization of Iran for implementation in export procedures.

Exporters of these two mining-sector products should update their export documentation and cost calculations to reflect the removal of the duty, and should confirm with the relevant customs office that the updated schedule has been applied to their tariff codes.
