No. 8296870

Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization has extended the validity of previously registered import orders that were processed without a currency transfer, keeping them valid through September 6, 2026, for importers who hold a valid warehouse receipt.

The extension, issued by the Export and Import Regulations Bureau of the Trade Promotion Organization on July 27, 2026, continues an arrangement first introduced to speed up the declaration and customs clearance of goods during ongoing emergency conditions. It follows a series of related notices, including a July 27, 2026 letter from the same bureau and an April 12, 2025 decision (No. 400000/002) of the Supreme National Security Council on wartime non-military defense and national economic resilience measures, cited under Clause 1 of that council’s resolution.

Under the extension, import orders that were previously registered without a currency transfer from the fund location referenced in the relevant approval, and that are supported by a valid warehouse receipt, remain valid through September 6, 2026. This builds on an earlier extension issued by the Ministry’s currency working group on July 21, 2026, which had kept the same category of registrations valid through May 30, 2026, subject to the same warehouse-receipt requirement, in order to allow new order registrations and continued processing without interruption.

The notice was circulated to the Deputy Minister for Business Affairs, the Trade Promotion Organization’s president and regulations planning deputy, the Central Bank of Iran’s Foreign Trade Bureau, and the directors-general of Industry, Mine and Trade organizations in all provinces, with instructions to display the affected registered orders to the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration accordingly. Importers relying on prior no-currency-transfer registrations should confirm their warehouse receipt remains valid and monitor for any further extension before the new deadline.
