The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, through the Trade Promotion Organization’s Export and Import Regulations Office, has communicated to Iran Customs a Cabinet resolution amending the executive bylaw of clause (r), note (1) of the single article of the 1404 National Budget Law of the Whole Country, which governs the import of various types of vehicles.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved certain amendments to its earlier resolution No. 50703/T63881h of March 12, 2025, specifically regarding the determination of import duty rates for vehicles imported by Iranians residing abroad, effective through the end of the Iranian year 1405. The amendment was communicated by the Cabinet Secretariat to relevant ministries, including the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, Iran Customs, and the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran, for implementation and notification to executive customs offices.

The Trade Promotion Organization’s Export and Import Regulations Office subsequently forwarded the amendment to Iran Customs’ Import Office for awareness and communication to executive customs offices, with a request for coordination to establish the order registration mechanism in the relevant system as soon as possible.

Iranians residing abroad seeking to import a personal vehicle under this program should confirm the applicable import duty rates under the amended bylaw with Iran Customs before proceeding, since the amendment revises rates previously set under the original March 2025 resolution.
