Vehicle Import Order Registration Continues for Iranians Abroad

The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has instructed continuation of the import order registration process for passenger vehicles imported by Iranians residing abroad, based on Article 92 of the 1405 Budget Law implementation regulations.

The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade’s Import and Export Regulations Office has instructed the Innovation and Smart Security Center to continue the import order registration process for passenger vehicles imported by Iranians residing abroad, under the procedure established by Article 92 of the executive regulations of the 1405 Budget Law.

The instruction follows earlier correspondence on the creation of a dedicated workflow for registering import orders for these vehicles, which falls under the framework governed by Note 1 of Clause (r) of the current-year Budget Law, as set out in Cabinet Resolution No. 30705/T18836H. That framework was implemented in the Comprehensive Trade System following a working session held to establish the relevant procedure.

With the corresponding Cabinet resolution now issued for the 1405 Budget Law (No. 302336/T46000H), the office has requested that the registration process already established for this category of vehicle imports be continued in the current year, consistent with the procedure used previously.

The measure applies specifically to import order registration for passenger vehicles brought in by Iranians residing abroad and does not introduce new tariff codes, quantities, or eligibility criteria beyond continuing the existing registration mechanism. Businesses and individuals involved in these imports should continue to follow the established registration procedure in the Comprehensive Trade System.
