1,322 Tariff Codes Added to Percentage Clearance List

The Bureau of Import and Export Regulations has forwarded an updated list of tariff codes for goods considered important and eligible for percentage clearance at customs, based on the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade’s own compiled list.

The notice, issued under Clause 39 of Resolution No. 200/40000 from the Headquarters for Countering Trade Sanctions, attaches the final Excel file containing the Ministry’s consolidated list of tariff codes eligible for percentage clearance. The list comprises 1,322 tariff codes and is valid through the end of the third month of the current Iranian year, corresponding to late May 2026.

Iran Customs is instructed to apply the percentage clearance procedure, as recorded in the Comprehensive Trade System, to goods falling under the tariff codes included in this list for as long as it remains valid. The notice explicitly states that this list replaces the Ministry of Industry’s previous percentage clearance list, so importers and customs brokers should rely on the updated list rather than earlier versions when determining eligibility.

Percentage clearance allows import shipments to be released against partial payment or partial documentation pending completion of standard customs requirements, and is intended to support the continued flow of production inputs and other goods deemed important by the Ministry.
