Export Ceiling Maintained for Petrochemical Product Tariff Lines

Iran Customs has been notified of specific petrochemical product tariff lines and companies subject to export ceiling maintenance, following a meeting held to create transparency for petrochemical exports during emergency conditions.

The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has notified the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration of a list of petrochemical product tariff lines and the specific companies to which export ceiling maintenance applies.

The notice was issued by the Export and Import Regulations Office of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, following a meeting held to establish transparent procedures for the export of hydrocarbon petrochemical products under emergency conditions. The meeting was attended by a representative of the General Inspection Organization and other relevant parties. Under clause 3 of the resulting meeting minutes, aimed at resolving the export ceiling maintenance issue for petrochemical products, the Ministry’s Office of Chemical and Polymer Industries forwarded the relevant implementation criteria together with a detailed list.

The list of items subject to export ceiling maintenance by Iran Customs, provided in an attached table, includes the following companies, products, and volume limits:

  • Pars Chlor Co. — sodium hypochlorite (tariff 28281000) — a combined total of 10,000 tons via Sahlan Customs
  • Sadr Shimi Gostaran Yazd Co. — maleic anhydride (tariff 29171400) — up to 500 tons via Yazd Customs only
  • Kimia Kalor Kaboudan Co. — sodium hypochlorite (tariff 28281000) — up to 500 tons via Urmia Customs only
  • Kimia Kalor Kaboudan Co. — hydrochloric acid (tariff 28061000) — up to 500 tons via Urmia Customs only

Customs offices were instructed to implement the listed export ceiling maintenance requirements accordingly.
