Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has notified customs and trade authorities that obtaining a Product ID (Shenaseh Kala) is now mandatory at the time of order registration for 313 tariff codes falling under the ministry’s Food, Drug and Health Industries Office.

The requirement follows earlier coordination between the ministry’s Import and Export Regulations Office and its Logistics and Business Services Deputy, and applies to the specific list of tariff codes attached to the notice, spanning a wide range of food, pharmaceutical, and health-related products including active pharmaceutical ingredients, food additives, vitamins, flavoring agents, and related raw materials. The requirement took effect on November 26, 2025, one day after publication.

Importers and customs brokers dealing in the affected tariff codes should ensure a valid Product ID is obtained before attempting to register an order, as failure to do so is expected to block registration in the Comprehensive Trade System once the requirement is enforced.
