Product ID Requirement Lifted for Tariff 1803.10000

The Food, Pharmaceutical and Health Industries Office has rescinded the requirement to obtain a product ID (IRC/IVC correspondence) at order registration for tariff code 1803.10000, pending completion of a web-service link between the relevant systems.

The Export and Import Regulations Office of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran has notified the Data, Information Technology and Cyberspace Security Center that the requirement to obtain a product ID (Iranian Registration Code/Iranian Verification Code correspondence) at order registration for tariff code 1803.10000 has been lifted. The notice follows correspondence from the Deputy for Logistics and Trade Services regarding the necessity of the IRC/IVC correspondence requirement for tariffs announced by the Information Technology and Systems Office of the Food and Drug Organization.

According to correspondence from the Food and Drug Organization (letter No. 32907/595 dated Tir 14, 1404), the requirement to obtain a product ID for tariff code 1803.10000 is rescinded, given the necessity of the IRC/IVC correspondence, until the web-service link between the related systems is established. The Food and Drug Organization noted that tariff lines subject to permits from the Ministry of Health or the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad should not be subject to the product ID requirement until further notice, and requested that the necessary information be communicated to importers and manufacturers through the Comprehensive Trade System.

Importers of goods under tariff code 1803.10000 should note that a product ID will not be required at order registration for this tariff code until the systems integration is completed and further notice is issued.
