Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has expanded the approved list of goods permitted under the kolbari (cross-border porterage) and small-boat (molvani) trade procedures to include additional raw materials and items needed for production.

The decision follows item 1 of the resolutions adopted at the fourteenth meeting of the working group formed under Article 4 of the Law on Organizing and Overseeing Border Trade. The Deputy for General Industries at the ministry communicated the approved list to Iran Customs, requesting that the specified items be added to the list of goods authorized for import under the kolbari and small-boat trade procedures.

Under the decision, a proposed list of tariff codes covering categories such as cosmetics and health products, food items, clothing, textiles and leather, cellulose products, and household and office supplies has been submitted for inclusion. Import of the listed items through the kolbari and small-boat border trade procedures is now permitted.

Businesses and border traders operating under these procedures should consult Iran Customs and the relevant specialized offices at the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade for the finalized list of tariff codes and any procedural requirements before importing goods under this expanded scope.
