Seventh List of Products Exempted from Export Prohibition

The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has forwarded to Iran Customs the seventh list of tariff codes exempted from the current export prohibition on items under Chapters 1 to 24 of the Export and Import Regulations Book, based on an assessment of domestic market conditions.

The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade’s Office of Export and Import Regulations has forwarded to Iran Customs the seventh list of tariff codes exempted from the ongoing export prohibition on products under Chapters 1 to 24 of the Export and Import Regulations Book.

The export prohibition on Chapters 1 to 24 items was originally communicated to customs in a prior notice and remains valid until further notice, together with its previously announced exceptions. The Deputy Ministry of Trade Development at the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad periodically evaluates domestic market conditions and identifies additional tariff codes that can be exempted from the prohibition without adverse effect on the domestic market. This circular conveys the seventh such list of exempted tariff codes, supplementing the exceptions already in effect.

Tariff codes appearing on the seventh exemption list are removed from the scope of the Chapters 1 to 24 export prohibition, allowing goods under those codes to be exported. Tariff codes not appearing on this or any prior exemption list remain subject to the prohibition.

Exporters and customs brokers dealing in agricultural and other products covered by Chapters 1 to 24 should check whether their tariff codes appear on the seventh exemption list before proceeding with export declarations, and should continue to monitor for further exemption lists or changes to the underlying prohibition.
