Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has communicated the resolutions adopted at the seventh session of the working group formed under Article 4 of the law on “Organizing and Supervising Border Trade (Kolbari and Maritime Porterage) and Creating Sustainable Employment for Border Residents.” The session was held on June 8, 2025 at the Trade Development Organization of Iran, chaired by the organization’s head, with participation from representatives of the ministries and agencies named as members under the law’s implementing regulations.

The resolutions address a range of operational matters connected to border trade, including deadlines for member agencies to submit required data and reports, coordination on statistical registration of kolbari and maritime porterage transactions, allocation of budget-law resources for livelihood, employment, and infrastructure support across border provinces (including Bushehr, Hormozgan, Khuzestan, West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Sistan and Baluchestan, and South Khorasan), and instructions on customs and currency clearance procedures for kolbari-origin goods. The working group also addressed continuity arrangements for order registrations tied to the earlier border trade facilitation regime and requested that all member agencies and provincial offices act on the assigned items within the specified deadlines and report back through the Ministry’s Trade Development Organization.
