Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has added tariff code 21011200, described as “preparations based on extracts, essences, or concentrates based on coffee,” to the percentage clearance list, allowing goods under this classification to be released from customs ahead of full foreign currency allocation.

The decision was issued by the Ministry’s Deputy for General Industries following a request from an importer identified as the exclusive representative in Iran of the Torabika international brand. The company had requested percentage clearance for goods related to tariff code 21011200 before foreign currency is allocated by the Central Bank, citing the perishable nature of the goods, submitted packing lists and separated warehouse receipts, and the need to support continued operations and preserve jobs.

The Import and Export Regulations Office of the Trade Development Organization of Iran subsequently confirmed the addition and forwarded it to Iran Customs for implementation. Under the decision, goods classified under tariff code 21011200 will be subject to percentage clearance, in compliance with other relevant rules and regulations, until the validity period set by the competent authority expires.

Importers of coffee-based extract, essence, and concentrate products should note that shipments under this tariff code may now be processed through the percentage clearance mechanism, subject to the applicable conditions and validity period.
