Tariff 29309990 Added to Percentage Clearance List

The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has added tariff code 29309990 to the list of goods eligible for percentage clearance, following a tariff nomenclature change that replaced the previously listed code.

The Export and Import Regulations Office of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran notified Iran Customs that, under the amendments introduced in the 1403 Tariff Book, tariff code 29309090 was replaced by tariff code 29309990. Because tariff code 29309090 had previously been included in the Ministry’s percentage clearance list, the replacement code, 29309990, is likewise subject to percentage clearance treatment, in compliance with applicable rules and regulations, until the expiration of the relevant competent authority’s approval — through the end of Aban 1404 (corresponding to late November 2025).

The notice was copied to the Central Bank of Iran’s Foreign Currency Allocation Office and the Ministry’s Chemical and Polymer Industries Office for information, given that the affected tariff code falls within the chemical industries product category.

Importers of goods classified under tariff code 29309990 should note that percentage clearance treatment now applies to this code in place of the discontinued code 29309090, subject to the same validity period and conditions previously applicable to the earlier code.
