Tariff Code 8430.1000 Added to Percentage Clearance List

The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has added tariff code 8430.1000, covering pile-driving equipment for solar panel foundations, to the percentage clearance list, effective through the end of Aban 1404.

The Machinery and Equipment Industries Deputy of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has approved a percentage clearance request for tariff code 8430.1000, and the Export and Import Regulations Office of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran has notified Iran Customs accordingly. The request, submitted by Navak Shahab Sharq Co., concerned 90 percent clearance for pile-driving equipment used to install foundation panels for solar power plant construction.

The Office for the Development of Solar Power Plants had emphasized the need to expedite the construction and operation of solar power plants in supporting the request. The tariff code is now eligible for percentage clearance, subject to the applicable rules, regulations, and conditions governing this tariff code, until the validity period of the relevant competent authority’s approval expires.

Customs offices and importers dealing with goods under this tariff code should apply the percentage clearance procedure accordingly, in line with existing customs regulations, and should monitor the Comprehensive Trade System for confirmation of the entry.
