Tariff Codes for Thermowood and Wood Panels Added to 90% Clearance List

Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has added three tariff codes to the 90 percent clearance list: 44071110, covering thermowood; 44187500, covering other multi-layer wood products; and 44187400, covering other mosaic flooring products. Goods under these codes may now be released from customs at 90 percent clearance ahead of full foreign currency allocation.

The decision followed a request from Pars Aray Koohestan Company, based on the applied use of thermowood and multi-layer panels for the production of wooden building products. The Central Province Directorate of Industry, Mine and Trade forwarded the request to the Ministry’s Deputy for General Industries, noting that the company supplies raw material to the wood construction products industry and had already registered import orders under the tariff codes in question, and that facilitating the supply of raw materials and requirements for wooden building product manufacturers was important.

The Trade Promotion Organization’s Export and Import Regulations Office subsequently confirmed the addition of the three tariff codes to the 90 percent clearance list and forwarded the decision to Iran Customs for implementation. The arrangement is subject to compliance with other applicable rules and regulations and remains valid until the validity period set by the competent authority expires, with the current window running through the end of the Iranian month of Aban 1404 (mid-to-late November 2025).

Importers of thermowood, multi-layer wood panels, and mosaic flooring products under these tariff codes should confirm their shipments fall within the listed codes and monitor the Comprehensive Trade System for the applicable validity period.
