Solar Heater and Thermal Component Codes Added to Percentage Clearance

Iran's Trade Promotion Organization has added four tariff codes (90321090, 84199020, 84139100, 90330020) covering stator/rotor units, solar water heater panels, thermal switches, and thermocouples to the percentage clearance list, valid until the end of Aban 1404 (late November 2025).

Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization, through its Office of Export and Import Regulations, has notified the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration that four additional tariff codes have been added to the list of goods eligible for percentage-based clearance.

The addition follows a request from the Deputy for Machinery and Equipment Industries at the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, relating to the Butane industrial group’s need to have further tariff codes for parts and components used by its production unit placed on the percentage clearance list. The affected tariff codes are 90321090 (thermal switch), 84199020 (solar water heater panel), 84139100 (stator and rotor), and 90330020 (thermocouple).

The notification states that percentage clearance for these tariff codes will remain valid until the competent authority’s approval for percentage clearance expires, and that goods cleared under these codes remain subject to the applicable rules and regulations. It notes that tariff codes 84139100 (stator and rotor) and 84199020 (solar water heater panel) had previously been announced to Customs for percentage clearance on a general basis, separate from this specific addition. The arrangement for these tariff codes applies until the end of the Iranian month of Aban 1404 (corresponding to late November 2025).

Importers and manufacturers relying on these tariff codes for the listed parts and components should confirm the exact code, description, and time-limited validity with Iran Customs before clearance, and should continue to observe all other applicable import rules and regulations.
