Butane Brand Parts Added to Percentage Clearance List

Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization, through its Office of Export and Import Regulations, has notified the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration that a set of tariff codes covering parts and components for the Butane industrial group has been added to the list of goods eligible for percentage-based clearance.

The notification traces back to the Central Province Industry, Mine and Trade Department’s request of June 28, 2025, concerning tariff placement of parts and components for a named production unit, and a subsequent request (No. 61814/10) from the Deputy for Machinery and Equipment Industries relayed on July 8, 2025. The affected tariff codes, associated with the Butane brand, are 84139100 (stator and rotor / pumps), 84195090 (housing), 84804100 (thermal converter / heat exchanger), 84813000 (die-cast mold parts and components), 84814000 (flow restrictor and one-way bypass valve), 84818090 (safety or pressure-relief valve), and 84819090 (electric valve and turbine flowmeter / actuator valve).

The notification states that percentage clearance for these tariff codes will remain valid until the competent authority’s approval for percentage clearance expires, and that goods cleared under these codes remain subject to the applicable rules and regulations. It notes that tariff codes 84139100 (pumps, stator and rotor, non-returnable one-way valve) and 84818090 had previously been announced to Customs on a general basis for percentage clearance, separate from this specific addition. The arrangement for these tariff codes applies until the end of the Iranian month of Aban 1404 (corresponding to late November 2025).

Importers and manufacturers relying on these tariff codes for Butane brand parts and components should confirm the exact code, description, and time-limited validity with Iran Customs before clearance, and should continue to observe all other applicable import rules and regulations.
