Field-Grown Tomato Exports Approved Under Tariff Code 07020010

Iran's Trade Promotion Organization has notified customs that the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad has agreed to allow exports of field-grown tomatoes under tariff code 07020010, following a review of spring tomato production levels.

Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) has notified the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration that the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad has approved the export of field-grown tomatoes under tariff code 07020010.

The notice, issued by TPO’s Export and Import Regulations Bureau, forwards a letter from the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad’s Business Development Deputy addressing the export status of agricultural products. Following the earlier general export ban on agricultural products announced under notice No. 020/8138049 dated March 2, 2026, and based on a report received from the Ministry’s specialized deputy on spring tomato production conditions, the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad has approved the export of field-grown tomatoes under tariff code 07020010 until further notice.

Under the notice, exports of the covered tomatoes are not subject to the restrictions of the earlier prohibition letters (No. 3423920 dated March 28, 2026, and No. 3736591 dated March 3, 2026) and may proceed subject to compliance with other applicable laws and regulations. TPO has requested that the Customs Administration communicate this approval to its executive customs offices.

Exporters of field-grown tomatoes under tariff code 07020010 should confirm current shipment conditions with customs before proceeding, since the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad continues to monitor domestic market conditions for basic food items and retains authority to adjust the export status of agricultural products.
