Iran’s Trade Development Organization has notified the Import Office of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration of the implementation mechanism for Cabinet Resolution No. 86508/t64520h of August 26, 2025, concerning the note under Clause 1 of the resolution regarding trucks and tractor units located in Turkey.

Following a Cabinet-approved (and cabinet-office-sealed) list of Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) for trucks and tractor units in Turkey, the notice states that a new order-registration option, in addition to previously defined quantities, will be added to the truck and tractor unit order-registration process, labeled to distinguish vehicles “with a pre-1404 warehouse receipt” from those “without a pre-1404 warehouse receipt,” and that only the VINs on the approved list may use this new option, per the Cabinet’s authorization. The notice also states that, following an earlier communication from the Deputy for Machinery and Equipment Industries, the technical permit previously required from the Automotive Industries Office is removed from the order-registration process under the referenced resolutions. A related notice from the Trade Development Organization further specifies that only tractor units holding a warehouse receipt from before 1404, and registered under Article 2 of the resolution prior to that date, may use this order-registration route.

Importers of trucks and tractor units located in Turkey should confirm their vehicle’s VIN appears on the Cabinet-approved list and that their order registration is submitted under the correct new quantity option in the Comprehensive Trade System, which is a mandatory, non-editable field once selected.
