36 Additional VINs Approved for Used Trucks From Turkey

Iran's Cabinet of Ministers has approved a supplementary list of 36 Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) for used trucks and road tractors manufactured in 2019 or later and located in Turkey, eligible for import registration for a limited period.

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a supplementary list of 36 Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) for used trucks and road tractors manufactured in 2019 or later that are located in Turkey. The list was communicated by the Trade Promotion Organization’s Export and Import Regulations Office to Iran Customs following prior correspondence on the note to clause (1) of the underlying Cabinet resolution.

The measure follows the Cabinet’s earlier resolution, communicated by the Secretariat of the Cabinet, permitting the entry and order registration of used trucks and road tractors built in 2019 or later that were located in Turkey through the end of the Iranian year 1403, as well as other tractors located in customs premises, free trade-industrial and special economic zones through the end of that year. The supplementary 36-VIN list, stamped with the Cabinet Secretariat’s official seal, extends the same treatment to the newly identified vehicles.

The notice specifies that the deadline for order registration under this supplementary list is set at two months from the date the relevant list is communicated. Importers holding vehicles matching the listed VIN numbers should register their import orders within the applicable two-month window, referencing the specific VIN list and its communication date, since the registration privilege lapses once that period expires.
