Iran’s Trade Development Organization has issued an update extending the validity date of warehouse receipts connected to essential goods imports processed under the no-currency-transfer order registration mode.

The measure follows clause 15 of the Notification on the National Economic and Non-Military Defense Resilience Package, issued under an emergency resolution of the Supreme National Security Council concerning the ability to register import orders without a foreign currency transfer for shipments holding warehouse receipts dated within a specified window. It also incorporates decisions from the fifth meeting of the Trade and Market Regulation Working Group regarding extension of the validity date for warehouse receipts tied to essential goods imports under emergency conditions.

Under the update, the deadline for warehouse receipts eligible under this arrangement is extended, with the required corrections to be made in the relevant systems and notices. Necessary action regarding the required system corrections was to be completed as a matter of urgency.

Importers of essential goods relying on the no-currency-transfer order registration mode should confirm the current warehouse receipt deadline with the relevant customs and banking authorities, since this notice reflects a further adjustment of a previously set date.
