Iranian market situation over syringe consumption

The level of physical health of people in the community is one of the things that governments always pay particular attention to. This factor, which can have a significant impact on human resource productivity and community development, has its own custodians in society and in Iranian market,

the most important health care provider in our community which make ministry of health, Food and Drug administration one of the main ministries. Medical equipment is the most important tool for improving the health of the community. Generally, developed countries have the right products for this equipment. Interestingly, most of these equipments have lower per capita consumption rates than developing and consuming countries.
In fact, this shows that health is more evident in societies that have science and technology. Meanwhile, the main health care practitioners in Iranian market have always emphasized on more and more advanced medical equipment, and medical equipment for marketing in Iran is a priority in the industries that the government proposes for investment.
Classification of medical equipment
In a general category, medical equipment is divided into three parts: the first group is heavy goods and, of course, one-time medical supplies, which include syringes, needles and serums, most countries are trying to produce these heavy goods and not depend on others. The second category, called medical goods, such as elaboration and some operating room tools, require more advanced equipment, but these devices are commonly available in Iranian market and global market and all markets are capable of producing this kind of equipment. Finally, the third category of new medical products is called medical science equipment.
In today's report, we plan to invest in the simplest and most useless medical commodity out of marketing in Iran, which is viewed globally as a strategic commodity. The "syringe" used in medicine to inject medicine into the body is a disposable and, of course, high-tech technology that considers the conditions of investment and its market value inn Iranian market.
Types of syringes
The syringe is generally a form of cylindrical device with a piston at the end of it, pushed forward with the pressure of the drug and inserted into the body through a sharp spatula. The main components of the syringe are two piston and cylinder and needle parts, usually pistons and cylinders in a factory with a production line and a needle in another place and with other machinery for marketing in Iran. Usually the syringes are made in the same size and standard, and each type of needle is attached to it. The needle in the syringe moves freely inside the body.
Regarding the types of syringes, the most important factor is the size of the syringe volume, the most common types of which in Iranian market are insulin syringes, two calcium, five and 10 calcium. Typically, insulin syringes are different and the rest of the syringes are the same, which means that at one syringe you can simultaneously produce two, five, and 10 slicers.
Market situation and domestic consumption
Per capita consumption of syringes in European and American countries is much lower than in other markets such as Iranian market. Per capita consumption of syringes is one of the factors that indicate the health level in the Iranian market, this per capita for marketing in Iran was up to 10 per year in recent years, which in recent years has reached about seven per person per year, this means about 600 million syringes It is consumed annually in the Iranian market, while studies by the "Today's Opportunity" group show that about 20 syringe producers are operating for marketing in Iran.
Given the annual consumption of 600 million syringes in the country and considering the average price of 200 USD per syringe, the annual turnover of the market for this product is estimated at about 120 billion USD. Of course, 60% of domestic syringe production is produced by Saha as the largest producer of disposable equipment, and the rest of it comes from other companies.
Ehsan Elahi, businesswoman of Idehandishan Company, which deals with the design and production of medical equipment lines, says about the situation on the domestic market with "Today's Opportunity": We have no qualitative and quantitative problem in producing syringes in Iranian market, and even the quality of Iranian syringes in the category of syringes European. All the raw materials, technical know-how and high quality machinery are available, but the biggest problem is the price of the finished product, which has led to a decline in domestic syringe production in recent years, and often manufacturers are importing to Iran.
She says that the rising prices of raw materials, manpower, and other production costs along with the constant price of the internal syringe on the market has led to the current situation and the loss of competitive ability of the internal syringe with its external types, which is governed by the correct administration of the state. Reducing the price of raw materials and energy can be achieved through profitable production.
Investment in syringe production
Research shows that, despite domestic production out of Iranian market, we still have significant syringe imports, so it is recommended that the Ministry of Health cut import licenses for syringes, especially from China, and raise domestic production. On the other hand, since syringes usually have a long expiration date and are always considered as essential medical supplies, they can be stored in the Iranian market under the supervision of the Ministry of Health, so we will not need to import this product in times of crisis.
Also, the other argument that investment in this area is wise is the export issue, syringes import to Iran from countries such as China, India and Korea is currently taking place and Azerbaijan, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, Mauritania, Tajikistan and Iraq, including target markets And the Iranian syringe are those who can be opened on the export of that account. Finally, studies show that insulin syringes are needed for marketing in Iran, and investing in this type of production is a priority.
